Some more work on the image I took last night.
This is my best astro photo so far, but it is frustrating because it promises so much more – I need more data: longer exposures. Still, for a “quick image” on a relatively small scope and tiny camera it is pleasing.

Tonight was the first clear night in weeks so I had to try something. I was ready to give up as it was getting late, when I decided to go for this. Only four, five minute exposures and just a few minutes developing the image but I am quite pleased with this.
The galaxy is in Canes Venatici – about 23 million light years away. Wikipedia
